RelaxtoErupt on fyysisesti vaativa Lewis Cooken luoma liikemenetelmä, joka rohkaisee, inspiroi ja rakentaa luottamusta kohti liikkeen tutkimisen jatkumoa. Lewis Cooken RelaxtoErupt -työpajassa keskitytään hyödyntämään sitä, kuinka laaja keho voi olla liikkuessaan lattialle ja ylös, sekä tutkimaan ylösalaisin käsilläseisonta- ja akrobatiamaailmaa. RelaxtoErupt keskittyy leikkisyyteen, uteliaisuuteen ja haluun etsiä uusia malleja ja polkuja. Lewis haluaa poistaa pelkotekijän akrobatiassa, käsilläseisonnassa ja lattiatyössä luomalla aina turvallisen ja positiivisen harjoitteluympäristön, sekä hyväksymällä ja ymmärtämällä sen, että ilman epäonnistumista emme opi.

Lewis Cooke on monialainen tanssitaiteilija Brysselistä. Hän on opiskellut ja saanut vaikutteita nykytanssista, lattiatyöskentelystä ja nyrkkeilystä. Lewis on työskennellyt muun muassa Akram Khanin, Alleyne Dancen, Punchdrunkin ja Anton Lachky Companyn kanssa. Lewis on myös tutkija Ferus Animi // Terra Novassa, poikkitieteellisessä ryhmässä, joka tutkii ihmisen fysiologiaa ja suorituskykyä sekä taiteellisen että tieteellisen linssin kautta. Lewis valmistui London Contemporary Dance Schoolista, suoritti 9 viikon mindfulness-ohjelman Oxford School of Mindfulness Centerissä ja hänellä on tason 2 AIDA Freediving Certificate.

RelaxtoErupt is a physically demanding movement methodology designed to encourage, inspire & build confidence in the constant search for movement created by Lewis Cooke. Workshops will focus on utilising how expansive the body can be whilst moving in and out of the floor as well as exploring the upside down realm of handstands & acrobatics. RelaxtoErupt focuses on playfulness, curiosity and a desire to search for new patterns and pathways. Lewis is keen to remove the fear factor in acrobatics, handstands & floorwork by always creating a safe and positive environment to train in. As well as accepting and understanding that without failure we will not learn.

Lewis Cooke is a multidisciplinary movement artist based in Brussels. He has studied deeply and is influenced by contemporary, floor work & boxing. Lewis has worked with artists such as Akram Khan, Alleyne Dance, Punchdrunk & Anton Lachky Company to name a few. Lewis is also a researcher for Ferus Animi // Terra Nova, a group of cross-disciplinary craftsperson's researching in the fields of human physiology and performance, through both an artistic and scientific lens. Lewis graduated from London Contemporary Dance School, Completed a 9 week programme for mindfulness at Oxford School of Mindfulness Centre & has a level 2 AIDA Freediving Certificate.
