Kaikkien residenssiläisten yhteinen perehdytys järjestetään ennen työskentelyjaksojen alkua Tanssin talossa pe 3.7.2026 klo 10.00. Perehdytyksessä käydään läpi Tanssin talon tilat ja käytänteet. Perehdytys koskee kaikkia residenssiläisiä riippumatta oman työskentelyjakson alkamisajankohdasta, ja jokaisesta residenssiryhmästä vähintään yhden henkilön tulee osallistua siihen.

Residenssi on suunnattu tanssitaiteilijoille. Hakijan tulee olla Tanssille ry:n jäsen, ja työryhmissä vähintään kahden henkilön on oltava jäseniä. Residenssistä ei makseta korvausta. Valintakriteereinä on ammattimaisuus, tilan tarve ja työskentelyidea. Residenssivalinnat tehdään arpomalla, kriteerien täyttävien hakemusten kesken. Residenssin lopuksi taiteilijoita pyydetään kirjoittamaan lyhyt raportti työskentelystä.

Työskentelyidea voi olla esimerkiksi hahmotteilla olevan idean kehittelyä, valmiimman teoksen harjoittelua, oman taiteellisen ajattelun kehittelyä tms. Eri vaiheissa olevilla ideoilla kannustetaan hakemaan mukaan.

Tilaresidenssiin haetaan avoimella hakemuksella. Yhteyshenkilön tulee olla Tanssille ry:n jäsen. Kerro hakemuksessasi vapaamuotoisesti työskentelyideastasi sekä mahdollisesta työryhmästä. Open Call for Tanssille ry's Studio Residency at Tanssin talo! Applications are now open!

Tanssille ry and Tanssin talo are offering studio residency periods in July 2026 for dance professionals. The residency will take place in Tanssin talo's rehearsal studio at Kaapelitehdas in Helsinki. Studio time will be divided among four groups and/or artists.

The purpose of the studio residency is to support the professional dance community. It offers free rehearsal space to four dance artists or professional dance groups in July 2026. Residencies for dance artists will be held between July 6–31. There are residency slots for a total of four artists or groups. Each residency period lasts two weeks, and the working time is on weekdays in either the morning or evening slot.

Residency time slots:

1) July 6–17 Mon-Fri 10.00–15.00

2) July 6–17 Mon-Fri 15.15–20.15

3) July 20–31 Mon-Fri 10.00–15.00

4) July 20–31 Mon-Fri 15.15–20.15

A joint orientation session for all residency participants will be held before the start of the working periods in Tanssin talo on Friday 3.7. at 10.00 a.m. During the orientation, you will tour the facilities and go through the policies of Tanssin talo. The orientation applies to all residents regardless of when their individual residency period begins, and at least one person from each residency group must attend.

The residency is intended for dance artists. Applicants must be members of Tanssille ry, and at least two members of each working group must be members. Selection criteria include professionalism, the need for space, and a work plan. Residency selections are made by lottery from among applications that meet the criteria. At the end of the residency, artists are asked to write a short report on their work.

The work plan can be, for example, to further develop an idea in the making, rehearsing a more finished work, developing one's own artistic thinking, etc. We encourage applications with ideas at varying stages.

You can apply for the residency with a free-form application. In your application, please freely describe your idea, plan and possible working group. Please also indicate the time slot for which you are applying. The contact person must be a member of the association. Send your application to info(at)tanssille.net latest by June 11, 2026.
