Tanssille ry: n marraskuun residenssiläiset Kati Korosuo, Nilas Lindell ja Tuovi Rantanen jakavat työskentelynsä satoa pe 14.11. klo 14 kaikille avoimessa tilasuudessa!

Tanssitaiteilijat Kati Korosuo, Nilas Lindell ja Tuovi Rantanen työskentelevät 3.-14.11.25 Tanssille ry: n tarjoamassa residenssissä Helsingin Tanssiopiston studiossa Helsingissä. Avoin haku residenssiin järjestettiin syyskuussa 2025. Residenssijakson päättää tilaisuus, jossa työryhmä jakaa työskentelyään kaikille avoimessa tilaisuudessa.

Tilaisuuteen ei tarvitse ilmoittautua ennakkoon, ja se on kaikille ilmainen. Yleisöä pyydetään saapumaan ajoissa rakennuksen ovelle (varsinkin niitä, joilla ei ole ovikoodia), jotta kaikki pääsevät sisään. Voit myös halutessasi pyytää ovikoodin koordinaattorilta: info@tanssille.net

Kati Korosuo & työryhmä: Ruumiin vaiva

Ruumiin vaiva on tanssin inklusiivinen projekti vaivaisille. Se on tanssillisrunollinen tutkielma kehon vanhenemisesta ja manifesti vaivaisten kehojen riittävyyden puolesta. Projektissa lähdetään etsimään uutta praktiikkaa, jolla vaivaisen tanssijan keho pysyisi työkykyisenä mahdollisimman pitkään. Päivittäisessä harjoituksessa ei yritetä tuottaa liikemateriaalia vaivoistaan huolimatta tai ne sivuuttaen, vaan tanssin impulssina toimii mahdollisimman vaivattoman liikkumistavan löytäminen. Minkälaisen esityksen tällainen työskentelymetodi voisi tuottaa? Miten kehonhuollon estetiikka taiteellistuu? Entä millainen tanssitaiteen praktiikka huoltaa kehoa? Projekti haastaa ajatusta, että tanssijan taiteellinen virtuositeetti ja kehonhuollolliset työkykyisenä pysymisen keinot tarvitsisivat olla toisistaan erillisiä hankkeita.

RESIDENCY SHARING EVENT FRI 14.11. at 14.00

Tanssille ry's November residents Kati Korosuo, Nilas Lindell ja Tuovi Rantanen will share the fruits of their labor on Friday, November 14, at 14.00 in event open to everyone! 

You are warmly welcome to also bring your friends!

Korosuo, Lindell ja Rantanen will be working from November 3 to 14 at the residence provided by Tanssille ry at the Helsingin Tanssiopisto´s studio in Helsinki. Open applications for the residency were accepted in September 2025. The residency period will conclude with an event where the working group will share the results of their work in an event open to everyone.

No advance registration is required for the event, and it is free for everyone. The audience is requested to arrive at the building entrance on time (especially those who do not have the door code) so that everyone can get in. Kati Korosuo & working group: Ruumiin vaiva

Ruumiin vaiva is an inclusive dance project for people with physical ailments. It is a dance-poetic study of the aging body and a manifesto for the adequacy of differently challenged dancing bodies. The project sets out to find new practices that would keep the dancing bodies able to function and work for as long as possible. The daily practice does not attempt to produce movement material despite or ignoring the body's inabilities, but rather the impulse for dance is to find the most effortless way of moving. What kind of performance could this working method produce? How does the aesthetics of body maintenance become artistic? And what kind of dance practice takes care of the body? The project challenges the idea that a dancer's artistic virtuosity and body maintenance practices need to be separate endeavors.
