TANSSILLE (former Tiloja Tanssille) is a non-profit organization established by Finnish dance professionals in Helsinki in 2001. It's purpose is to promote working conditions of Finnish dance professionals and dance students in professional education, and to maintain the physical bodily condition of dancers that is required by the profession. TANSSILLE organizes professional training for dancers (i.e. morning classes), choreographic workshops and assists on its part with issues concerning working spaces. 

 MEMBERSHIP is entitled to a juridically suited person or community who accepts the purposes and rules of the TANSSILLE organization. Members are accepted by the board of the organization. At the present the members consist of over 300 professional dance artists and two dance communities.

 PROFESSIONAL MORNING CLASSES TANSSILLE has been providing high level training, morning classes, for dance professionals since 2003. It it accessible only to those members of TANSSILLE who work professionally in dance and/or have completed professional dance training. Exception is made for those members who are in the last year of their professional dance studies, thus enabling them to take part in training. Foreign dancers or those who are not able to participate classes regularly are also allowed to participate morning classes for 12 euros/ single class or 30 euros/ week as a visitor. Please contact the secretary beforehand.

Professional morning classes take place at Taiteen Talo (Kaikukatu 4 A, 00530 Helsinki, 5th floor): studio TAT2. Time: 10-11:30AM. NOTICE: the studios are open for TANSSILLE members at 9:45AM. Members are allowed to be in the studios 9:45-11:30. Please be prompt to leave the studio immediately after class. Morning class chedule here.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER & TAKE PART IN THE MORNING CLASSES

1. Print the application form, fill it and post it to the TANSSILLE's address or leave it in the organization's post box in front of studio in Taiteen talo. The secretary will let you know if your application is accepted.

2. Pay joining fee 25€ and membership fee 25€. (IBAN: FI9080001270822043, BIC/SWIFT: DABAFIHH, ref.no: 20064)

3. Pay training fee 50€/ season (autumn 2011), (IBAN: FI9080001270822043, BIC/SWIFT: DABAFIHH, ref.no: 20064)  if you wish to participate in the professional morning classes and you fill the requirements. You need to work professionnally in dance and/or have completed professional dance training. Exception is made for those members who are in the last year of their professional dance studies, thus enabling them to take part in training. NOTICE: ALL THE FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE YOU PARTICIPATE THE MORNING CLASSES!

HOW TO RESIGN THE MEMBERSHIP/EXPELLING THE MEMBER

You have to give written notice of your resignment. A member can be expelled from the organization if  he/she has not paid the required fees. Fees must be paid before the due date. If a member is expelled, he/she must pay all the fees again before being accepted as a member again, and being able to take part in the morning classes.
